In the luxury yacht furnishing project, the furniture was built with lightweight SIFARMAR panel made of PVC and marine plywood, veneered with Makassar Ebony. As an alternative to SIFARMAR, one can use SIFARCELL, which is composed of a honeycomb polypropylene central core instead of PVC.
The walls were made with SIFARPHON Oak-veneered panel. SIFARPHON is a panel that provides high sound absorption (most widely used thickness 11 mm - composition 4+3+4) and vibration damping properties thanks to its cork-rubber core. As an alternative, SIFARSUG can be used, a panel composed of marine plywood and cork, which is very popular in boat building because the materials are natural, light and resistant to pathogens.
For the floor, Okume plywood was used, which is very resistant to moisture and ideal for both the interiors and exteriors of boats. Unlike other types of panels, this panel is not attacked by pathogens. The plywood is covered with 3-mm-thick Teak veneer. Teak is a highly-prized wood, much appreciated in boat building due to its strength and hardness.
We produce numerous panels for nautical applications, each with specific characteristics: sound-absorbent, fire retardant, vibration-damping and lightened. EFFEERRE, a patented flame retardant panel, and SIFARBOX are, among others, in high demand.
We are also able also to assemble special panels for particular requests, combining several elements of the various panels and offering more thicknesses.
